These terms describe the SkyBoss ATC purchase. Payment is also covered by Lemon Squeezy’s checkout terms, because Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record.

What you buy

You buy a one-time license to run SkyBoss ATC yourself. It is a self-hosted app for a Raspberry Pi or another Linux computer. This purchase is not a subscription and not a hosted flight desk. There is no user account on skybossatc.com.

The price is the amount shown when sales open. These terms do not set a price.

Who takes payment

Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, tax, and the receipt. The license key arrives in the receipt email.

The license key

You need that key to download the app and to open the desk. At download, this site checks the key with Lemon Squeezy. What is sent and what is stored is on the privacy page.

The key is for your own install. It is not access to a server we operate for you.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase. The refund page says how.

Updates

Re-run the installer with the same license key. An update keeps your settings, log files, and database files on the Pi. The steps are in the install guide.

What the app is

SkyBoss ATC is an airport desk for your own receiver. It is not a certified air-traffic control system, it is not live tower audio, and it does not replace tar1090, PiAware, or SkyAware. It is not for navigation, flight operations, or safety decisions.

The app is provided as is. [ENTITY NAME] makes no warranty, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, of fitness for a particular purpose, or of uninterrupted operation.

To the extent Virginia law allows, [ENTITY NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law of the Commonwealth of Virginia does not allow to be limited.

Data

You grant [ENTITY NAME] (“SkyBoss”) a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, aggregate, store, and redistribute aircraft and ADS-B data received by your receiver, and data derived from it, including detections, stats, and coverage. The license includes sharing that data with other users and with other services.

Personal information is excluded from this license. SkyBoss will never publish the precise location of your receiver. A location SkyBoss publishes is generalized.

What the installed app sends today is on the privacy page. This section is the license. It is not a statement that the desk uploads receiver data today. If a future network feature collects receiver data, SkyBoss will announce it in advance and will provide an opt-out control before any collection starts.

Changes to these terms

[ENTITY NAME] may update these terms. The updated terms will be posted on this page. Notice will be sent to the email address on your Lemon Squeezy order before the updated terms apply. If you keep using the app after that notice, the updated terms apply. The data license above survives an update.

Seller and governing law

The seller is [ENTITY NAME], a limited liability company organized in [STATE]. [ENTITY NAME] and [STATE] are placeholders. The company name and the state of organization are still being decided, and they are not a person’s name. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
